Being Fortunate

We hear a lot about being fortunate these days.  Some equate being successful in business with being fortunate which is not the case, being successful is the result of hard work and using ones intelligence.  I rather think that being fortunate has to be the result of things that happen to one that are the result of unforeseen circumstances.

I am very fortunate for having a few friends not to be confused with acquaintances. 

I do not consider the successes I have had in business to be fortunate.  I do consider myself fortunate in that I was born in the greatest country on earth.

I am very fortunate in that I once had the experience of being loved by a fantastic person and even though this experience was not a lengthy one, my life will always be the better for it.  Some never have this experience and I never expected it to happen to me.  It hurts when it is over but I would never trade not having it for not hurting.

I am fortunate in that I have two wonderful grand-daughters.
